Children

Welcome to the MainKids Children's Ministry at South Main Baptist Church.  Here we are family and as family we seek to discover the light of our Risen Lord and share His love with the world beginning with our very own neighborhood.  Even the smallest family member is appreciated and valued here, and we have every expectation that we will learn from them, give to them, and see the glory of God’s love in each of their precious faces.

Worship, discover, and share is not something we leave to the adults.  Our children and their families are offered wonderful opportunities to develop spiritually by exploring and growing in all three areas.  Children beginning in kindergarten are an important and integral piece of our corporate worship experience with programming specifically targeted to prepare them in fun and creative ways.  Our children’s Sunday School classes are filled with exciting and energy filled ways to discover more about Jesus and the way He lived and how He wants us to live.  And every week throughout the school year, our children, three years old and up, share their time and gifts through music and missions work helping church family members, people in need in our neighborhood, and others around the world.

Please know that at the foundation of all these opportunities are South Main members who love and cherish children.  We know how important it is for children to feel safe and loved, and we feel there are few things that shine His light like the giggle from a child.
