Dr. Steve Wells
Pastor
Steve grew up in Lubbock, Texas. He came to South Main in March of 2003. Steve
attended Baylor University, where he earned a BA in Philosophy. He was a
member of the first graduating class of Baylor's George W. Truett Theological
Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity Summa Cum Laude with a concentration
in Theology in 1997, and a Doctor of Ministry, concentrating in Preaching
and Worship, in August, 2003.
Steve has served churches in Texas and Mississippi.
Steve and his wife, Missy, were married in August,
1990 and have three children - Rachel, age 15, Benjamin,
age 11, and Joshua, age 9. |

Thomas R. Coker, Jr.
Minister of
Music
Thomas, a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern
Seminary, came to South Main in September 1987 to
lead our music programs. A native of South Carolina,
he and his wife Brenda are the parents of three
adult children, Kaytha Coker, Catrice Mays, and
Connan Coker. |

Erin Conaway
Associate
Pastor
Erin joined the staff of South Main in June of 2002. He is a 1997 graduate of Baylor University and a December 2001 graduate of George W. Truett Theological Seminary (Magna Cum Laude). He brings to South Main experience in Clinical Pastoral Education as well as Chaplaincy work at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, TX. Erin and his wife Carmen were married in June of 2000, and are the proud parents of Alexandra and Samuel. Carmen's parents are also South Main Members: Kirk and Debbie Brassfield. |

Amy Grizzle
Minister to Adults
Amy joined the South Main staff in June of 2007. Amy is a 2000 graduate of Furman University and a 2005 graduate of Duke Divinity School. A native of Georgia, Amy joins us from serving as Pastoral Resident at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas. Amy brings diverse experiences to South Main having served in congregations in North and South Carolina and in the inner city of Pretoria, South Africa. Amy is committed to helping the church reach communities through quality educational and worship opportunities. Amy’s parents, Ron and Penny, live in Birmingham, Alabama and her two younger sisters, Ashley and Audrey, live in Atlanta, Georgia. |

Susan Moore
Interim Children's Ministry Coordinator
Child Care Coordinator
Susan and her husband Bill moved to Houston and joined South Main in 1993. She has served as Childcare Coordinator since 1995 and as Interim Minister to Children from 2001 to June 2004. Susan and Bill have three children, Jonathan, Rachel and Rebecca.

Tom Williams
Administrator
/ Minister to Senior Adults
Tom Williams joined the SMBC staff in January 1999. A graduate of Hardin Simmons
University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he has 40 years of
experience in Texas churches. Tom and his wife, Carolyn, have two sons, Reagan
and Chad. |
