South Main Youth Music Ministry

If you are a student with musical interests, South Main Baptist Church wants you to be involved in our youth music ministry.  From handbells to youth choirs to mission trips, the youth music ministry is a place to have fun, connect with other students, and use your talents to worship God. Regular youth choir rehearsals have come to a close for the '06-'07 school year; we will start off the '07-'08 school year on August 26.  Come join us!

Joyful Sound (Middle School Choir)
Join with other middle school students in using your musical gifts to glorify God.  This fun group rehearses weekly on Sundays at 12:45 p.m.  Catrice Mays directs the choir.  Contact Thomas Coker (tcoker@smbc.org) for more information.

Revelation (High School Choir)
Join with other high school students in using your musical gifts to glorify God.  This fun group rehearses weekly on Sundays at 12:45 p.m.  Daren Butler directs Revelation.  Contact Thomas Coker (tcoker@smbc.org) for more information.

SMBC Youth Handbells
This group of talented middle and high school ringers draws from the SMBC youth group.   They meet weekly on Wednesday nights at 5:15 p.m. to rehearse, with set up beginning at 5:00 and pizza dinner ($3) after rehearsal.  Carla Brown directs this handbell choir.  Contact Thomas Coker (tcoker@smbc.org) for more information.
