Contact Carey ( or Dolores ( with questions.

Young Women’s Shadow Day

Shadow Day is an exciting opportunity for high school aged young women at SMBC to spend an entire work day shadowing another SMBC woman in her workplace to broaden young women’s relationships and experiences.  All participants will then gather afterwards to discuss their time together and observations over lunch. The hope is that new relationships are formed across generations and that these relationships continue throughout these young women’s lives.  Sincere efforts will be made to match participants based upon their preferred areas of study.  Shadow Day will be Friday, June 2nd, followed by lunch on Sunday, June 4th.

Youth Camp 2017

Mark your calendars now for Youth Camp 2017. We will fly out of Hobby airport early on the morning of Sunday, July 16 into the Denver airport and return on the evening of Friday, July 21.We take a shuttle to/from the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA and we are staying in the Silver Sage Lodge with rooms that sleep 6 (1 queen and 2 sets of bunkbeds) and have a private bathroom. Activities at the Y include basketball, billiards, foosball, indoor swimming pool, indoor roller rink, table tennis, volleyball, bocce ball, croquet, hiking, horseshoes, ladderball, trike park, 18 hole mini golf, trail running/walking, and a summer tubing hill in addition to other great activities for additional cost. Snow Mountain Ranch is just 10 miles from Winter Park so we can return for there for additional activities. I’m working on a new approach for small group and Bible study that I think leans into the developmentally appropriate needs of the kids. Also, we are going camp alone this year, so no other churches will be joining us. Lots of change this year, but promise to hold on to the “can’t live without traditions” which is why Kevin Sinclair will be joining us as our Camp Preacher!

Cost for camp is $525 and a 50% down payment will be due May 15. Payment made HERE
