Mountain Camp 2017

We meet at Hobby airport at 6:40 AM on Sunday, July 16 to depart for Mountain Camp 2017 with fifty-five youth and ten leaders for six days of worship, prayer, reflection, conversation and teaching on hard faith questions with the purpose of helping youth formulate their own beliefs in light of scripture and the insights of others. Oh, and yes, there will be lots of laughs, fun, and hilarity as the week is full of surprises and favorite traditions! Parents pickup their kids at 8:00 PM on Friday, July 21 in the Youth Center. Text “Mountain” to 281-973-4503 to get daily texts while we are at camp plus helpful notes and reminders leading up to camp!

Packing List

Please do your very best to pack EVERYTHING listed under Carry On and Checked Bag. Optional items are just that so don’t sweat if you don’t have everything on that list, but do get creative and have fun with the optional items.

You may notice there isn’t a long list of “don’t brings” nor is there a list of rules regarding dress. If we are to live seamless lives, where our goal is to live an authentic life as a disciple of Christ in all that we say and do, no matter who we are with or where we are, then it seems that a set of rules on these matters is counterproductive toward that goal. If you have questions, by all means ask but accept the responsibility that comes with this freedom and lean into a seamless life.
