"How Do I Find God?" is an interesting question. And a sometimes troubling one for me. My whole life I have heard stories of how God revealed Himself to various friends and family members, sometimes in bold fashion, sometimes in quiet, personal ways.
I don't have this kind of experience for myself. I have often prayed for guidance, for God to reveal where He is in a particular situation, and I hear nothing. I have tried to sit quietly with my mind cleared, and I sense nothing. Am I doing something wrong? I don't know; God hasn't said one way or the other.
And so I go back to my faith, and my faith tells me that God is present with me. Even when I can't find Him, when I can't feel Him, He is with me. And I pray. And I wonder if this is perhaps my test, can I have faith that He has found me, even though I don't always feel I have found Him.
