Lenten Devotional: March 30

Published March 30, 2018 by Linda Gardner

I still remember the first time I entered the South Main sanctuary on a Sunday morning about 35 years ago. I was in awe of the beauty and grandeur, and the worship experience touched me. This was followed by warm interactions with ministers and others, and Spencer and I soon felt right at home in this special place.

And although there are many places where God touches me - through friends and family, in nature and other places of beauty in our world—I still feel especially close to God when I enter this holy place. I hear beautiful music and inspiring words, see dear friends, and remember special times. My soul is nurtured and comforted.

As I think about God's greatest gift during this season and His sacrifice for us, I am also grateful for this special place where we come to worship and experience community.
