Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God?what is good and acceptable and perfect.

I believe in God as much as there's fish in the sea and every line I cast is like every verse I read, growing that much closer to Him. Faith, not patience is what kept me on the shoreline.Raised in a single-parent home with three other siblings, required patience. My sisters, however, highly doubted I was the favorite, but one thing was for sure, my mother's faith in God. I look back now and recognize how far my mother's faith influenced me. I personally did not grow up in the church, except for the occasional weekends with my grandparents which also meant the occasional ear-twisting when caught with my head up and eyes wide open during prayer at mass.

Finding God was an obvious struggle for me during my younger years, but more importantly it resembled my question for His existence. My struggles for understanding deepened as I became older and I grew weary of the many unanswered prayers, which led me to exclude myself from God, but He never abandoned me. As a married adult now, raising three children, life has a bigger purpose. I know my faith has grown because my eyes have seen, my ears have heard and my heart has felt God in this place. Suddenly, He became real.
