In all honesty, I have been carrying this verse on my heart since the 6th grade, as it was the verse Grace Swart, Grace Elliott, and Kate Barkley chose to write in my Bible. This verse has helped me send my troubles and doubts up to God.
I feel that this week of all weeks, we have a lot of worries on our minds. This includes worrying about how little Spanish we know or whether or not our classes would go well. But when we are laughing with each other we worry very little about our Spanish-speaking skills or our classes going the way we planned. It is in these moments I have spent with the youth this week that I have seen God the most. It is in these moments that I am reminded that I am strong with God.
This verse is one I will continue to carry with me for the rest of my life and am continuously reminded of by my friends. In our youth group, I see, feel, and hear God through the laughter and ability to overcome our fears. I'd like to personally thank OSA and the SMBC youth for a great week, and I hope we take away from this trip the love that we all have for each other.
