David French is an opinion columnist for The New York Times. Before writing for the Times, he was a senior editor at The Dispatch, which he helped found, and a contributing writer at The Atlantic. He spent most of his career as a practicing lawyer, working in both commercial and constitutional litigation. David is a committed Christian, who grew up Church of Christ in rural Kentucky and Tennessee. David speaks and writes compellingly about the intersection of Christian faith, culture, and politics in a manner that embraces generosity and resists vilification of those with whom one disagrees. You are invited to the Sanctuary at 7:00 PM on May 13 to listen as David French speaks in dialogue with Greg Funderburk on the role of faith in a broader, often divided cultural and political climate. This is an opportunity to invite your friends or co-workers to engage in a generous conversation about faith and culture with the South Main church family.
