Our Minister for Pastoral Care, Greg Funderburk, will offer a lecture at the Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas, on September 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
Greg will talk about his novel, The Mourning Wave, which concerns the Great Galveston Storm of 1900, the aftermath of the storm, and the role faith played in the life of the orphans of the island and the religious orders who primarily cared for them in homes throughout the city.
The Bryan Museum was the site of the Galveston Orphans’ Home and, following a restoration of the historic structure, has become a place where the history of Texas is brought to life through its world-class collections, exhibitions, and educational offerings.
The Bryan Museum is located at 1315 21st Street in Galveston, Texas (77550). Tickets for Greg's talk are $5 for museum members and $15 for non-members.
