If we are to boldly claim an authentic faith in Christ, we must navigate the Mondays to Sundays of our lives with faith seamlessly interwoven in all things. Sometimes this is easy, and other times parents need guidance, modeling, and permission to normalize conversations and gain confidence in how to raise our children to one day do the same. As part of a month-long, church-wide emphasis on how we, as a congregation and as parents, nurture and prepare the next generation to claim their authentic faith in Christ, the Family Ministry is hosting a series with experts from across Texas to address challenging topics—ones traditionally left unspoken or hushed in homes and churches.

Not every teen is ready for a screen. How do you know when yours is ready? How do you manage screen time at home? How do you establish reasonable and clear boundaries? Dr. Lockhart helps you assess your teens' executive functioning skills (such as their ability to manage time, follow through on tasks, regulate emotions, and handle distractions) and empowers you to navigate conflict and the digital age with your tweens and teens.

Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart is a parent coach and a board-certified clinical child and adolescent psychologist. She is the author of Love the Teen You Have (to be released October 28, 2025) and comes to us from San Antonio.
