Acts 16:25-34

We continued our sermon series examining the windows in our Sanctuary, focused this week on the stained glass depicting a prison door. This image symbolizes both the period when early church leaders like Peter and Paul were jailed for the sake of the Gospel, but also represents the notion that there are times of suffering to be endured in our lives. Sometimes, we are delivered from such dark experiences by God, while at other times, there is a greater purpose in remaining in the darkness. This week, consider the import of this idea, prepared to discern one from the other, and believing that in either case, God remains with us.
