Sermon – "Waiting for Light in a Dark Place"

On the first Sunday of Advent, we were led in worship by Dr. Joel Gregory, receiving his message from the prophetic book of Isaiah encouraging us to anticipate the coming of light through the darkness. God’s power even at its weakest, we saw, is far superior to man’s at his strongest. As we move through Advent remember this formulation as we wait for the day we celebrate the arrival of the Christ Child.
