On July 12 and July 26, our own Charis Smith? teacher, friend, and writer? will engage with all of us on the compelling subject of how to better consider, then express, our own unique stories out into the world. In two complementary Mainstreamers presentations, Charis will show us, tell us, and teach us about the art and craft of mining stories from our experience, expressing ourselves in writing, and connecting with one another in captivating ways through narrative. Using lessons from her career as a teacher and examples derived from her love of writing as well as her own ongoing story-driven blog, Charis will inspire us, calling us to remain curious, as we seek to become lifelong learners in God's remarkable world. Games start at 9 AM, lunch is served at 11:30 AM followed by the program at around 12 PM.
