Life of Peter – July 7

Greg continues our series of the Life of Peter and what his story tells us of forgiveness.

Sunday, July 7, 2019 - 11:15am

This Sunday as we continue into our summer series on the Life of Peter, we look at the crucial issue of forgiveness. Peter asked Jesus how many times must we forgive one who’s sinned against us, and suggested what he thought was a generous number — seven. But Jesus corrects him with a new number — seven times seventy, then tells a story which links grace and salvation itself. As we explore the idea of forgiveness and grace, we’ll focus on the notion of contempt, which is toxic both to forgiveness and the Christian distinctive of loving our enemies and those who hurt us and offend us. Join us this Sunday as we worship together and address this important topic.
