The Way of the Cross – Easter Worship

Luke 24:1–8

This Sunday is Easter Sunday! Our worship services this Easter will be held at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM as we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, praising God for the eternal victory Jesus won over death on our behalf. As we process the Christ candle and the Easter banners, observe the baptisms of TJ Moneé Joubert (9:00) and Hayden McLaughlin (11:00), and sing the Hallelujah Chorus, we will fully receive the meaning of the empty tomb, this transcendently joyful event at the center our faith.

Good News Preview – March 31

We finish our journey on the way of the cross and find ourselves at the empty tomb. Join us Sunday at 9:00 AM in-person or at 11:00 AM in-person or online! We can't wait to celebrate the resurrection with you in worship.

Monday Over Coffee: "Sit"

Growing up, three little books made a great impact on me as a young Christian: The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis, Your God is Too Small by J.B. Phillips and Sit, Walk, Stand by Watchman Nee. The insight packed inside these three slender volumes was profound.

Service of Shadows

On Thursday, March 28, The Way of the Cross culminates as we are confronted by the cross itself. As we reflect on the gravity of the crucifixion, we invite you to join us for the Service of Shadows. At this service, we are poignantly reminded of Christ’s sacrifice through the gradual darkening of the Westmoreland Chapel, with the only light at the end of the service emanating from the stained glass window. Through the scriptural narrative, the music, our prayers, and the sharing of communion, we gather in the shadow of the cross to ponder the…

Children's Easter Celebration

This annual family tradition begins in the Sanctuary on Saturday, March 30 at 9:30 AM, as we hear a story from Dave the Donkey about what he thought was going to happen to the King as they rode into Jerusalem before the first Easter. Every child should bring an Easter basket because after the story, families are invited outside to hunt for as many eggs as their basket will hold. Each child (4th grade and younger) will receive a bag filled with goodies.

We hope you will join us for Easter worship as we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, praising from the depths of our souls Christ who died and rose again. Our Adult Bible Communities and Family Ministry groups will not meet on Easter Sunday.
