The Raimer-Goodman Family

Michael and Lauren Raimer-Goodman joined the South Main family when Lauren was in medical school. Now she is a practicing pediatrician. Michael, who holds a Doctorate of Public Health from the UT School of Public Health as well as a Master of Divinity from Emory University, co-founded the Houston Global Health Collaborative and the nonprofit organization Sodzo International, which is South Main's partner in mission work in Maua, Kenya.

Lauren, Michael, and their children are active in the Family Ministry and adult Sunday School communities at South Main, as well as in missions locally and globally. Michael says, "South Main is a multi-generational fellowship, where we and our kids can learn from people who are wiser and more experienced than we are. It's a thoughtful and kind family—there is so much love here. We are constantly edified in worship through music and preaching, and also get an empowering sense of God's presence active in community life. We fellowship with South Mainers across Houston nearly every day in some way."
