Need Some Words of Encouragement?
Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love

As we forge ahead into this unusual season, I've been thinking about the power of words to elevate and encourage us.
Perhaps say them aloud. Just the sound of these words have some real "lift" to them:

Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love.

As you offer this prayer to God, let these words wash over you, cleansing your mind and heart. Keep them with you as a comfort to soothe your burdened soul as you find new routines, and as you care for yourself and for others.
God, help me to make room for Sabbath.

Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love.

God, as I seek to be a source of grace for others, I ask for Your grace-giving for myself. Help me to be self-aware of all the emotions I am feeling for the reasons I am feeling them. Let me become more intentional about naming, expressing, and speaking what I am feeling before You? all that is in my heart. I commit today that all I am feeling? uncertainty, sadness, disappointment, stress, frustration from a lack of control? shall not be misdirected.

Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love.

God, as I face the trials of isolation, show me what You want me to see. What is it that You do not want me to miss? What chance is before me to experience the presence of Christ anew?

Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love.

God, build a new resilience in me, rekindle my relationships, and renew my appreciation of life. Expand my imagination in Christ.

Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love.

Help me to experience and remember the moments of beauty, joy, and hope with which You bestow to me strength, endurance, and meaning for today. Spur my continued trust in You.

Prudence & Patience.
Mercy & Grace.
Fortitude & Love.

Amen.
