Worship – The Way of the Cross

As we move toward the cross in the season of Lent, we are studying about not just the road Jesus took toward Jerusalem, but the ways and means He employed along the way in encounters with His followers and others. This week, Jesus’ disciples ask Him how they are to pray. Jesus responds with giving them what we know as the Lord’s Prayer and following it up with an explanatory parable regarding the idea and purposes of prayer. The Way to the Cross is a path of prayer which leads us into a deeper communion with a God who cares for us not as a burden but rather as His beloved. Our MainKids, 527 Tribe, and Youth will play important roles in leading our worship on this third Sunday of Lent.
